One sentence is one message. A long message counts as more, depending on its length. Only real translations count: messages in the other person's own language are not translated and not counted, and emoji and photos without text are free.

Free gives you 20 translated messages a day, Basic up to 200 and Premium up to 400, in one pool you can share with the people you talk to. When the day's allowance is spent, a message pack takes over if you have one. Without one, your messages still send — they just aren't translated until the daily reset. Daily allowances reset at midnight Central European Time (CET/CEST).

Extra translated messages for any plan, Free included: 100 messages for €0.99, 300 for €1.99 or 1,000 for €4.99. Packs never expire and are used only after the day's allowance is spent. You buy them in the app.

No. Messages people send you use their own allowance. With Premium or Yalla Business you can choose to sponsor a chat; only then do their messages come out of your allowance.
